What we collect
When you use CareerPilot we may process account details (such as email via Clerk), quiz answers about your job preferences, optional resume text you upload or paste, application activity inside the product, and billing-related identifiers from Stripe (for example customer and subscription IDs). We also receive basic technical data needed to run the service (such as logs and device/browser signals).
How we use it
We use your information to create and secure your account, score and show job matches, help you prepare applications and cover letters with your approval, process subscriptions, and improve reliability. We do not sell your resume or quiz answers. We do not claim to run automated bots against employer ATS systems without your control — you approve applications before they go out.
Who helps us
We rely on service providers to operate CareerPilot, including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and hosting providers. They process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
Retention & deletion
We keep account and billing records while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business or legal reasons. You can clear local CareerPilot data from Account. To request deletion of account data we control, contact support@jobpilot.app.
